Brothers, Please see the attached notice of the funeral liturgies for our dear brother, Deacon Gordon Hudec.  Please note two things: Since next Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, Deacon Gordon’s funeral liturgies are bracketed on each side of Ash Wednesday (Tuesday & Thursday); The family invites all Deacons & Priests to a reception in the Parish Hall after the funeral mass; May our good Lord embrace Deacon Gordon in all His mercy and love. It is with both sorrow and Christian hope that I ask your prayers for our brother, Deacon Gordon Hudec , who has died at the age of 80.  Deacon Gordon suffered a stroke three weeks ago, and his cognitive abilities declined in the days following. Yesterday, I was blessed to be at his side, praying with him and with his family who kept loving vigil. I am profoundly grateful to the deacons and priests who walked with him this past year, ensuring he remained connected to the frat

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,    Pope Leo XIV has accepted the resignation of Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila of Denver and appointed Bishop James Golka, Bishop of the Colorado Springs Diocese, as successor.    Archbishop Aquila will formally introduce Archbishop-designate Golka at a media-only press conference. The announcement will be livestreamed at www.archden.org/live-events , inviting the faithful across Colorado to share in this moment of grace for our local Church.
