New Ritual Book: Holy Communion and Worship of the Eucharistic Mystery Outside of Mass

The new translation of the ritual book Holy Communion and Worship of the Eucharistic Mystery Outside Mass is now available for purchase. The optional first use date of the ritual book is September 14, 2024—the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. The mandatory use date of the ritual book will be December 1, 2024—the First Sunday of Advent.

While a large majority of the changes in the translation are textual, there are some new adaptations that have been approved for use in the United States of America. Most of these adaptations concern the Order of Eucharistic Exposition and Benediction and add certain long standing customs practiced in the US that are not found in the original Latin text (such as the addition of the Divine Praises).

The new ritual books may be directly ordered from five publishers: Magnificat, Liturgical Press, Liturgical Training Publications, Catholic Book Publishing Co., and Midwest Theological Forum. Gerken's Religious Supplies will also have the ritual books in stock in the coming weeks.
