Dear Brothers,
I write to inform you that our beloved brother, Deacon Marty Wager, passed into the loving embrace of our Lord just a few hours ago. He was 75 years old.
As you may recall, Deacon Marty was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a few months ago. He faced his illness with the same quiet strength and faith that marked his decades of ministry.
Ordained in 1989 by His Eminence, Cardinal Stafford, Deacon Marty served faithfully at St. Louis Parish in Englewood and All Souls Parish. His heart for the vulnerable was evident in his work with the Handicap Ministry (Carron House) and the Courage-(EnCourage) Ministry for families.
Please keep in prayer his loving wife of 49 years, Kim, and their children, Morgan and Katie, as well as their three grandchildren.
May Deacon Marty rest in the infinite mercy of Christ, the Good Shepherd he served so well. Requiescat in pace.
AMDG,
