This is a time to heed the invitation to “Come away by yourselves to an isolated place and rest awhile” (Mark 6:31). The entire aim of the retreat is to facilitate an encounter with the Lord who loves you. And, this is a work of God’s grace. This encounter will be facilitated through participation in the sacraments and prayer with scripture and works of art. We are not on this journey alone. The Lord has called us to Himself through our fraternity. The retreat is also a time for brotherhood.
